    Drive from Kampala through the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda, with a stop at the Equator, arriving in the evening at your lodge near Bwindi.

    After breakfast and a ranger briefing, trek into the rainforest to spend an hour with a mountain gorilla family, then return to the lodge.

    Travel north with a packed lunch through the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions, and check in to your lodge.

    A morning game drive looks for lions, leopards, elephants and buffalo, followed by an afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles and birds.
